12 Days of Christmas... Movies!

November 27, 2017

On the 1st day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

How the Grinch Stole Christmas - whether you’re enjoying the original in all its glory, or watching the updated Jim Carrey version, clearly this is a CLASSIC. I mean, Dr. Seuss was a genius, amiright??

On the 2nd day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

Elf - “Smiling is my favorite.” Will Ferrell is hilarious as a grown man with the mind of an elf.

On the 3rd day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

White Christmas - If you have not seen this classic, I highly recommend it! This 1954 movie showcases singing, dancing, Bing Crosby and George Clooney’s aunt Rosemary Clooney.

On the 4th day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

Home Alone - My 8 year old LOVES this movie, and so do we. The slapstick humor combined with the message of sharing Christmas with family is timeless.

On the 5th day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

It’s a Wonderful Life - Another classic that puts life into perspective.

On the 6th day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation - I think we all have some crazy family members, but Chevy Chase’s takes the cake! My family literally pulled a “Cousin Eddy” and stayed in our RV in a family member’s driveway this year! Ha!

On the 7th day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

Scrooged - Based on the classic “A Christmas Carol,” this dark 80’s comedy features Bill Murray in his prime.

On the 8th day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

The Polar Express - If you have young(ish) children, this is a great one to watch as a family. The animation is almost creepily realistic, but it’s a great opportunity to cuddle in pj’s and sip on some hot cocoa together.

On the 9th day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

Bad Santa - This one is definitely for the adults only. I’m not very easily offended, but even I cringed at a few parts of this one. Yikes!

On the 10th day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

A Charlie Brown Christmas - This is another great family classic that reminds us all that Christmas can’t be bought at the store.

On the 11th day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

Miracle on 34th Street - Both the original and the remake leave viewers with a warm feeling and the spirit of Christmas.

On the 12th day of Christmas my true love watched with me…

A Christmas Story - This one was saved for last because it runs for 24 hours straight on Christmas… as it should!! I just learned that there is a Veteran owned A Christmas Story House & Museum that you can actually STAY IN!!! What?!

Happy Christmas movie watching!!!
