There's no hiding how complicated and confusing military life can be. Even if your S.O. is good about bringing home the paperwork and actually giving you the information you're supposed to have (is my husband the only one who either forgets or thinks it's irrelevant? LOL), between acronyms and tricare rules to follow - it can make your head spin!
There's a fine line between great resources that actually offer great advice, and those that offer surface level information or opinions. So here are 5 resources that I personally use and love, and know will help you too.
Sarah has such a beautiful way with words and her blogs are PACKED with information. I really like going to her blog with a specific question in mind! If you need a place to go like a military wife life dictionary, I highly recommend checking out her blog.
Jo is a seasoned milspouse who never actually thought she'd be such a huge inspiration and has been sharing information for years. She's also an author, sharing her wisdom around this military lifestyle in many forms! I really liked referencing her blog for inspiration around what to pack/send my husband when he was deployed last. I found it really helpful!
If you prefer digestable articles that are both entertaining and informational, this is the website to go to! I like that I can go to this website for events in our community, like virtual job fairs, and apps and things to connect you to other communities.
I really enjoy this podcast because it's news articles and they only offer the facts around the military lifestyle. I really enjoy that they are working hard to change the narrative around journalism and have amazing guests on their show! I would highly suggest listiening to this as your main news source if you want high value information without the political stuff.
I really like this website for crisis information. Mental health resources, moving resources and support, and scholarship resources are just three of the resources I have used off of their website! You will love it if you know what you are looking for.
And there you have it - 5 resources I love that have personally helped me along my own military life journey. None of these resources are surface level, instead offering deep understanding and information to genuinely help you.
